This final project for my “Introduction to Digital Media Production” class at UW-Madison was a chance to showcase the skills I acquired in working with Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Audition.
Written in 1935, Elizabeth Bishop’s “The Man-Moth” is an abstract poem about a strange creature aspiring to fly to the moon, which he thinks is a giant hole in the sky.
This high school project is a short-film adaptation of the poem. The video personifies the creature and uses its dark color scheme and chilling music to illustrate the Man-Moth's attitude toward their unachievable goal.
